HAWS HAVEN will what?

What do all of the following pictures have in common?

That's right.  They are all pictures of HAWS HAVEN!  Haws Haven has been the location for more adventures we can even begin to write about in this blog post.  Haws Haven has been home for 27 years.  Remember the unveiling ceremony when we uncovered the two stone monuments with the words HAWS HAVEN engraved on them.  You can just see them at the base of the basketball standard in the above picture.

I know it is difficult to believe that after 27 years living in our present home with its large house, garden, basketball court, meditation area and large yard, that we are going to move.  It is even more difficult to believe that we are moving into an HOA subdivision that we swore we would never do!

But the unthinkable has happened!

We signed a contract with Taylor Morrison Homes in the Eastmark Subdivision in the East Valley.

Any of our children who want a good deal on the Haws Haven must speak up before November 1 at which time we will list the home with D. Zufelt on the open market.

 We purchased the Whistler model.

The only difference is that we opted for the 3 car garage instead of the Den/Study

The construction of our new home at 4760 S Ion, Mesa officially started 28 September 2016 with the placement of the exterior wall forms.  We are pretty excited about the move and to see something actually get started makes us happy.  If all goes per plan our home will be ready in February or March 2017.

1 October 2016  Wallace inspected the sewer lines and took asbuilt measurements.  Everything looks great so far!  Here are a few pictures.

A new adventure is about to begin!  What do we do with the Haws Haven monument sign and what do we call our new home site?

I think we will have to come up with a new name and we will of course have a dedication ceremony of our new home.

We will keep you posted on the construction progress.

  1. "Either change or be changed." I don't know who said that, but regardless, change happens. This must be a little difficult. We wish you well. I can only imagine that the builders will start to cringe when they see you coming each day or so.

  2. I think the new place should be Haws Haven, too since anywhere you go will be a Haven
